The Ontario Government has changed some COVID-19 health and safety guidelines for schools due to the presence of the new COVID-19 variant of concern in the province, the Halton District School Board said Thursday night Feb. 18 in an notification to families.Effective today, the Board said, the Government of Ontario COVID-19 school and child care screening online tool has been updated to direct students and staff to stay home if they report any new or worsening symptom of COVID-19 even those with only one symptom . 聽As before, students and staff with a COVID-19 symptom s must remain home until they receive a negative COVID-19 test result, they receive an alternative diagnosis by a health care professional or it has been 10 days since the symptom occurred and they are feeling better. An Alvaton woman is dead after a head-on collision on Interstate 65 Sunday.Kentucky State Police were called to an area near mile marker 24 on the southbound side of the interstate.Cassandra Garrison, 30, St. Louis, Mo. was operating a 2015 Dodge Journey Crossover traveling south when, according to witnesses, Garrisons vehicle braked to an extremely low rate of speed.聽 A passenger exited, and Garrisons vehicle changed direction and began to travel northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 65, according to a release from KSP Post 3.聽 Garrison continued her path of travel, striking a 2003 Ford Mustang in a head-on manner.Amy Eakles, 41, of Alvaton, was driving the Mustang.Garrison stanley website and Eakles were taken by ambulance to The Medical Center.
