Piper and the other convicts at the Litchfield women s correctional institute are the reason why Orange is the New Black has become one of the most popular and acclaimed shows of 2013.Taking inspiration from Piper Kerman s memoirs on her time in prison, the show is funny, raunchy and addictive. But it isn t over the top.
