The Clark County district attorney race was uncontested until a challenger entered the race on the final day of candidacy filing. The driver who Nevada Highway Patrol says hit and killed a man on U.S. Highway 95 near the Summerlin Parkway exit Monday night faces charges in his death.Gary Richard Adair, 22, was under the influence of drugs when he hit 38-year-old Kadar Lee Brown about 5:30 p.m., according to t adidas sambarose rooper Loy Hixson.Brown was on the right shoulder of U.S. 95 changing a flat tire when Adair hit him with his Dodge Durango, Hixson said. It was originally reported that Adair was suffering from uggs skor a diabetic episode when he hit Brown, but Highway Patrol confirmed Adair was driving under the influence of drugs.Adair, who remained at the crash scene, was booked on a charge of driving under the influence resulting in death.
