HBO released their version of Westeros earlier this year, but Adam Whitehead of The Wertzone has been pondering the layout for George R.R. Martin fantastical world for a while now. Obviously, Westeros is in the west, with the Free Cities immediately across the Narrow Sea to the east. Further inland is the vast Dothraki Sea and the city of Vaes Dothrak. South-east of there lies Lhazar, land of the lamb-men where Daenerys hatched her dragons , and further stanley usa south is the forbidding Red Waste and the great trading city of Qarth on the entrance to the Jade Sea. Note that, whilst much of the coastline an stanley cup d in particular the area around Qarth is totally random, the distance from the Free Cities to Slaver Bay is accurate. I also based the far north-eastern coast of Essos on screengrabs from the Game of Thrones TV title sequence, which shows the coastline beyon stanley cups d Vaes Dothrak. I also included the Summer Isles south of Westeros and the Iceland-like island of Ibben in the far north. Not show are Asshai and the other lands of the Jade Sea. Greenpeace has been on the offensive against Apple this week, blasting the company for sourcing the power for its energy-intensive data centers from coal power plants. Marine Biologist Rochelle Constantine of the University of Auckland speculates that they are exceptionally deep divers who forage for squid and small fish and spend very little time at the surface. Constantine also suspects that their deep ocean habitation results in few specimens washing up on shore. The whales, the largest of which measured 5.3 meters long about 17 feet , featured a prominent melon an organ behind the forehead that may allow for echolocation , a dark gray rostrum, a dark eye patch, a while belly, and dark flippers.
