A man is in custody following a vehicle pursuit.On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the Kentucky State Police says a traffic stop was conducted by trooper Walker Hogan on Morgantown Road in Bowling Green on a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban for traffic offenses.Tyler Young was identified as the operator. Young failed to yield to emergency equipment, troopers say, causing a vehicle pursuit.Young traveled onto Westmeade Drive. He then exited the vehicle and fled on foot, according to authorities.Troopers say the suspect then threw a gun and what is believed to be methamphetamine from his possession to the ground.After a brief foot pursuit, Young was apprehended and lodged in the Warren County Detention Center.Young is charged with; first degree-fleeing or evading police motor vehicle , first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot , resisting arrest, first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, 2nd offense methamphetamine , possession of a handgun by convicted felon, operating a vehicle while under the in stanley website fluence aggravated , along with numerous other traffic violations.Young was also served with an active warrant.Connect with News 40Follow @wnkytvDownload the stanley cup WNKY News 40 Weather App stanley uk
