The Warren County Sheriff Office is warning the community of a cryptocurrency scam.Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower says scammers po stanley quencher sing as Deputy Bill Stephens with the Warren County Sheriff Office, are contacting potential victims claim stanley cup ing they have missed court dates or jury duty. Scammers are now sending fraudulent legal documents to make it appear that these violations occurred.Scammers will ask victims to retrieve money while on the phone, take the money to Kroger, and convert it to Bitcoin or Dogecoin to transfer.The office says this is a scam. Warrants cannot be settled by paying the Warren County Sheriff Office.
