It is yet another attempt at mitigation, in the face of provincial recklessness. On Wednesday morning Dr. Lawrence Loh, the medical officer of health in Peel, publicly asked the province to leave Peel in its current state of restrictions, including a stay-at-home order, for at least two more weeks. On Wednesday afternoon Dr. Eileen de Villa, Torontos MOH, did the same.They know they cant stop the variants. But theyre the ones trying. As a public health physician I have never been as concerned about the threat of COVID-19 to your health as I am now, said de Villa. Not at any other point in the pandemic. A man is facing several charges after allegedly causing a fire within a Warren County hotel room.In a u stanley kubek niform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department states officer responded shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday to Microtel at 1980 Mel Browning Road.Police state an employee advised them a man had jumped out of the third-floor window before he reentered the hotel, broke a glass panel of the front desk, and chased the employee.The suspect was identified as Derric Young. According to the citation, police held Young at gunpoint and gave verbal commands to stop and go to the ground.Young was detained and treat stanley tumblers ed by EMS on scene before being transported to the Medical Center at Bowling Green for clearance.Police state the damage to the hotel is estimated to be over $1,000.The uniform citation states police viewed surveillance of a towel on fire being tossed into the hallway from the room where Young was listed as staying, which was put out by another guest.
