Japan s Meteorological Agency placed all prefectures along Japan s east coast under advisory status for gale force winds and high waves, according to NASA. In addition, some areas were also under an advisory for storm surge. Japan will hold a national election Sunday, and local authorities in Okinawa have decided to move the voting date to Saturday for some remote islands, Reuters reports.
