Drug recognition expert officers will be on scene to help evaluate drug-impaired drivers.The checkpoint will be held Thursday, Nov. 1, between the hours of 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. The checkpoint will be located in the southwest part of the Las Vegas valley.The checkpoint will identify drug- and alcohol-impaired drivers to include juveniles, young adults, and older adults, before they get involved in a collision. Comedian Dana Carvey is mourning the loss of his eldest son Dex Carvey, who died Wednesday at the age of 32.Carvey said in a statement onsocial media to his followers, My wife and I have been overwhelmed by your love, your personal stories, your compassion. And when you were with him, you loved life too. He made everything fun. But most of all, he loved his family: his friends and his girlfriend, Kaylee, said the parents. Dex was a beautiful person.
