Best AFK Credit Farming Methods in Forza Horizon 6
#1
If you have been playing Forza Horizon 6 for a while, you already know how expensive everything gets. High-end hypercars, rare auction vehicles, tuning parts, and seasonal content can drain your credits surprisingly fast. Grinding races manually for hours gets old quickly, so naturally a lot of players look for reliable AFK credit farming methods.
Right now, the most effective AFK strategy is the Horizon Rivals Auto-Drive method. Compared to older rubber-band tricks, this setup is cleaner, safer, and much easier to leave running for long sessions. When configured properly, it can generate roughly 800,000 to 1,000,000 credits per hour with very little input from the player.
Here is the full setup process and a few important details that make the method work consistently.
Why This Method Works So Well
The key difference with this farm is that it uses the game’s built-in Auto Drive system instead of forcing throttle input manually. Because the AI handles steering, braking, and acceleration, the car can lap circuits continuously with minimal crashes or resets.
The trick that keeps the race running forever is selecting a top-ranked rival time that your AI driver will never realistically beat. Since the event never officially finishes, the race keeps looping indefinitely.
That means steady experience, skill points, and most importantly, credits.
Step 1: Choose the Right Vehicle
Your car choice matters more than people think.
The best option is always a Forza Edition vehicle with a built-in Credits Boost perk. These cars naturally increase payout rates, which adds up massively during long AFK sessions.
Some good examples include:
  • Toyota Tacoma TRD Forza Edition
  • Nissan Sargo Forza Edition
  • Other Forza Edition cars with bonus credit modifiers
If you do not own one yet, use a stable high-performance car instead. R-Class circuit cars or vehicles with strong downforce tend to work best because the Auto Drive AI handles corners more consistently with them.
Avoid extremely twitchy hypercars unless you have already tuned them for stability.
Step 2: Set Up the Horizon Rivals Event
This is the part that determines whether the farm runs smoothly for hours or fails after a few laps.
Open the pause menu and go to:
Online → Rivals → Road Racing
From there, select a circuit event.
Recommended Track Types
Short Circuits
Shorter tracks are usually the safest option for fully AFK farming.
Tracks similar to Shirakawa Circuit work especially well because:
  • Corners are manageable
  • The AI makes fewer mistakes
  • Recovery is easier after collisions
  • Lap times stay consistent
The only downside is that you usually need to press “Continue Lapping” after the first lap.
After that single input, the farm can continue endlessly.
Long Circuits
Longer races like:
  • The Goliath
  • The Colossus
can produce huge long-session payouts because laps take much longer. However, if the AI crashes badly or gets stuck, you lose more time before noticing the issue.
For overnight farming, many players still prefer shorter circuits for consistency.
Step 3: The Most Important Trick
Before entering the event, press Y to change your rival.
This part is critical.
Instead of selecting a random player, choose the number one ranked player on the leaderboard.
Their clean lap time will usually be impossible for your Auto Drive AI to beat. Because of that, the race never officially completes, allowing the event to continue looping forever.
Without this step, the race may end normally after a few laps, which completely ruins the AFK setup.
Step 4: Increase Your Credit Multipliers
Before starting the race, open the difficulty settings menu.
Even though the AI is driving for you, the game still rewards higher payouts for harder settings.
Disable the standard assists to gain the bonus multiplier.
Recommended settings:
  • ABS: Off
  • Traction Control: Off
  • Stability Control: Off
  • Shifting: Manual
These settings usually add around a 50% credit bonus depending on the exact difficulty configuration.
Normally these settings would make driving harder, but since Auto Drive handles the vehicle anyway, you still get the reward increase with almost no downside.
Step 5: Activate Auto Drive
Once the event starts:
  1. Wait for the countdown to finish
  2. Open the ANNA menu
  3. Turn on Auto Drive
After activation, the system takes over:
  • Steering
  • Braking
  • Throttle control
At that point, the car should begin driving laps automatically.
If you selected a short circuit, you may need to manually confirm “Continue Lapping” once after the opening lap. After that, the race can continue indefinitely.
